30 Day Proverbs Challenge: Day 17

Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. Take your time! This has been one of the hardest lessons I have had to learn in life is patience. As a perfectionist and over achiever who grew up in a ultra competitive environment. I have always wanted and desired to be first however, I have learned that God's timing is always best. Wisdom is developed over time and commitment and sometimes seems impossible in a world of instant gratification. Wisdom is learning to move at the pace of grace because I trust that God will never give me something I cannot handle.

This was confirmed in Proverbs 25: 6-7 "Don’t demand an audience with the king or push for a place among the great. 7 It’s better to wait for an invitation to the head table than to be sent away in public disgrace." This reminds us to be patient and to humble ourselves because we ought to be chosen by who God selects for us. If you knew that your Creator knitted you in. your mothers womb before your parents wouldn't you trust the one who created you with intention. For an example, an artists masterpiece took time, labor and sacrifice to create and that experience is in the midst of his art and people that experience his work also experience his masterpiece. The impact is way greater than the artist who copies someone else's idea or work and try's to sell or duplicate the experience of a masterpiece. In Proverbs 25:26 Solomon says "If the godly give in to the wicked, it’s like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring."It will not work and the lasting effect is always more detrimental, now we value less and disrespect the artist!

Being an entrepreneur and growing a business is not easy. It is a labor of love where you learn through the process. The goal is to not quit, to never let fear and doubt interfere with your vision. When you start a business you commit to longterm success because you know that the average business fails and usually takes up to seven years to succeed. You have to learn how to do what Proverbs 25: 11-12 "Timely advice is lovely, like golden apples in a silver basket. 12 To one who listens, valid criticism is like a gold earring or other gold jewelry." I was not good at listening to others and I am still not especially people who don't represent what I want or stand for. I had to learn discernment and come back to Holy Spirit being the Great Counselor in my life. The Lord Jesus Christ keeps us humble because it is God's will not our will and that keeps us in desperate need of the Jesus because he is our daily bread. You have to work on your business daily and build it like its a million dollar business before you receive $10.00 profit.

The intention to be great and the best version of yourself is the most important take away from Proverbs and realizing I needed to rebuild my foundation. The process of discovering is beautiful and how God has designed it for us. In Proverbs 25:2-3 states" It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them. 3 No one can comprehend the height of heaven, the depth of the earth, or all that goes on in the king’s mind!" As a daughter of God and employee of the King of Kings is the most important part of building your foundation and anything in life. I advise you to take time if you are building a business and ask is this what God has called me to do? How am I helping others come closer to God? Am I losing myself or getting better? My business transformed from "Be Your Own Body" to Be Your Own Body in Christ". The House of Be is a safe space to heal in Christ because I never had the power to heal anyone but Jesus, our King of Kings can heal you through me. You can't place a value on peace of mind and wisdom, its priceless and thats what it feels like to be saved by the Lord Jesus Christ.
