Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. Today is Day 2 and I am working on rebuilding my foundation so that I can be a better leader. The Lord is taking me through a process of "becoming."It is proven we are not happy without the challenges in life and that was confirmed in my reading today. Lets read Proverbs 10:16-17 "The wages of the righteous is life, but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death. 17 Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray." This verse did it for me today, discipline is a "way of life," and it is not always easy but it is life.

We have all fallen into sin, we've missed the mark, at some point in our lives. God knows that we will sin and he saved us before we were even born or created. That is true love! That is our Heavenly Fathers way and he is teaching us to trust his way by encouraging us through discipline. I have struggled with discipline at times in my life, I go through phases. However, as an athlete I appreciate what sports has taught me in life. Its prepared me to walk this life in discipline and reap the results of discipline and righteousness. However, even Adam and Eve failed to walk in discipline and obedience to the Lord so lets not act innocent and perfect.

I used to have the brightest light and have true innocence so I know what a life of discipline feels like. But, I also ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge and separated myself from Gods love and discipline. Now I understand that a life of sin and disobedience leads to destruction and shame. Why do we turn away from the Lords way? It is the way of life and we still have freedom in the faith and righteousness of our Lord, Jesus Christ (Yeshua). In Proverbs 10:29 this verse says "The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless, but it is the ruin of those who do evil." God is the truth, a life with security and unconditional love.

When you do not embrace the love God has for you then you choose evil. You tend to walk in fear, shame and condemnation because of lack of wisdom and understanding. Adam and Eve were so afraid of their sin that they hid from God, their Creator, who already knew and understood them. God is love and always stays in the posture of love and he truly wants the best for us. He confirms his love for us in 1 John 4:16 "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." For so long, I moved in religion and transaction with God which only pushed me to sin and rebellion because I lacked understanding.

When you grow up trying to be perfect and do everything right because your love as a child was based on conditions. You become a subliminal people pleaser and the spirit of perfectionism and guilt starts to dictate your life. Although God is saying that I love you no matter what and I just want a relationship with my daughter. The lack of wisdom and identity in Christ caused me to live in fear, obligation and guilt. Instead God calls us to look in the lens of God so that we understand our true purpose and understanding. God is only disciplining us because he loves us and will be here for us when we fall but he requires repentance and righteousness.

In Proverbs 10:11 I was reminded to speak life into myself and others "The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence." But wisdom is choosing to speak wisdom and encouragement into ourselves and into others around us. We do not have to be so hard towards ourselves and others. We often project our own failures unto others because we are still dealing with our own unresolved issues. Today, I chose to walk in righteousness, goodness and innocence because wisdom reminds people of their virtue. Today I remind myself of my own honor and nobility because God loves me. I am not obligated to pay God back but I only have to receive the goodness he has for me.
