30 Day Proverbs Challenge: Day 22

Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. We often think that we know best especially since we are currently in a narcissistic abusive generation. I also think we are in a identity crisis with social media and technology now infused into our world. We are constantly consuming information and influence where we are headed towards a new mental and health crisis. Are you consuming Gods word daily? Are you guarding your gates? What are you consuming more than the Lord, Jesus Christ?

Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. We often think that we know best especially since we are currently in a narcissistic abusive generation. I also think we are in a identity crisis with social media and technology now infused into our world. We are constantly consuming information and influence where we are headed towards a new mental and health crisis. Are you consuming Gods word daily? Are you guarding your gates? What are you consuming more than the Lord, Jesus Christ?

I truly had to reallocate my time and focus because the devils biggest goal is to distract you from spending time with our Heavenly Father. Between getting stuck scrolling on Tik Tok and Instagram or growing my business and taking care of my children. Where is the time to take care of yourself? If you are unable to take care of yourself how can you succeed and be the best mom, woman or wife that you can be. It's impossible without God and I am here to testify that you will run out of time, energy and motivation. God let me run myself into the ground on my own so that I can appreciate all that he has to offer when we claim our identity in Christ. Proverbs 30 is so poetic and truly makes you think about the life before the Lord and why you would not accept the free gift of salvation.

Proverbs 30 was written by a prophet named Agur and I have to say I believe we are in the generation mentioned in this chapter. He begins with his request to the Lord and I want to share because I completely agree with his requests. In Proverbs 30:7-8 "“Two things I ask of you, Lord; do not refuse me before I die:
8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread." I believe in praying God's word so I think this is a great prayer outside of the Lords prayer because in a world where there is someone selling you something or opportunism at every corner. I believe staying focused on Jesus Christ and Gods provision and identity in Christ is more crucial than ever. Currently. I am learning to walk in obedience and stay focused on the Lord Jesus Christ and what he says about me.

Do not believe the lies and influence of Satan because it is truly everywhere we look. From the movies, TV shows and music we have to stay focused on the truth. Proverbs 30:5-6 "Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
6 Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar." I thank God for keeping it simple yet so profound. We do not have to waste our time proving ourselves but just need to fear the Lord, have faith and read the Word of God daily. The one thing I have been consistent with since my rededication and baptism is reading the Word daily and praying daily. I cannot miss a day and ithas been the most consistent thing I have done in a very long time. The confirmation and revelations you get when you spend time with the Lord, is priceless adn completely worth it.

Do you think we are this generation today? In Proverbs 30:11-14 it says...

“There are those who curse their fathers
and do not bless their mothers;
12 those who are pure in their own eyes
and yet are not cleansed of their filth;
13 those whose eyes are ever so haughty,
whose glances are so disdainful;
14 those whose teeth are swords
and whose jaws are set with knives
to devour the poor from the earth
and the needy from among mankind.

I want to encourage you to read Proverbs 30 NKJV and NIV to have a better understanding and appreciate the different wording. However, Proverbs 30 is one that I will return to over and over with an investigative mind because it is extremely profound. It's a great reminder to put your pride aside and it encourages you to make a decision, choose a better way. I believe we are in a narcissistic abusive era as well as suffering an identity crisis where family continues to remain broken instead of valuing marriage and unity. God does not want this for us so we need to heal and learn God's word and our rights in the spirit. The world today reflects our corrupted soul and we need to return to truth, light and love. What do you think?
