30 Day Proverbs Challenge: Day 25

Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. The day after Mothers Day was amazing I slept for 12 hours in the pouring rain. The rain that you have to open your window slightly to hear the raindrops and smell the breeze from the rain. It reminded me of how good God's love is and how his grace and mercy endures forever. I am so grateful that I have another chance to walk in my identity in Christ and as a chosen daughter of God. When you play with death several times you truly learn to appreciate life. Who are you living for? What is your purpose and identity?

I think its fair to say that we all struggle with finding ourselves at some point in our lives. I struggled with finding my purpose as a recovering people pleaser and perfectionist. I found myself in the space of "daughter of" which caused me to run away from family because it was a constant reminder of the broken heart and broken home. I searched for community builders and it became my persona, a community builder, a team builder. We are usually healing from the thing that abused and hurt us in our lives. What if you are born into wickedness? We all are! In Proverbs 2: 12-14 "Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, 13 who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways, 14 who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil," Whether my parents and leaders recognized the sin and perversion they were a part of. The effects of our actions are a ripple effect in our bloodline and in our soul which explains the attack on family and marriage.

Today, I no longer hold the guilt or shame of my parents mistakes. I choose to forgive my parents and I choose to turn to my Heavenly Father who always knew me and created me before I was born into his purpose and will for my life. The broken heart, the disappointment and the proving of oneself to my family and friends no longer matters to me. I let go of the past and choose to be a new creature in Christ. We are in an identity crisis and I was a result of the world and my families indoctrination. Today I chose wisdom and Proverbs 2: 20-22 "Thus you will walk in the ways of the good and keep to the paths of the righteous. 21 For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; 22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it. Therefore, why do I need to keep fighting the battle when the battle is the Lords.

Remember you are Abraham's seed as a believer in Christ. You join a righteous, faithful and a family filled with unconditional love. This is found in the Bible in Galatians 3:16 "The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ." We are the body of Christ and when you choose to claim your free gift by faith by believing in the Lord, Jesus Christ. Your life changes forever! My life has been a testament to Gods unconditional love and purpose in my life. I am healing the inner child trauma and recreating my foundation as a "daughter of God" the most important relationship in my life. Everything moving forward is from the inheritance of my Heavenly Father and who he has told me that I am and the career, relationship and prosperity that he has promised me.
