30 Day Proverbs Challenge: Day 4
Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. A lot of times we overcomplicate many things in life and miss the simplicity of Jesus Christ. The path towards sanctification is not hard but obedience, discipline and focus can often seem difficult in the world.

Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. The simplicity of Jesus Christ(Yeshua) is beautiful. Just because something is simple doesn't mean that we don't overcomplicate it. In the world, we often find ourselves distracted by comparison, overstimulation and technology. At least, I know that I've struggled with all of those things. My encouragement was found in Proverbs 12: 1-2 "To learn, you must love discipline;
it is stupid to hate correction. 2 The Lord approves of those who are good, but he condemns those who plan wickedness." My intentions were pure but my arrogance and self sufficient attitude was the problem.
As I am rebuilding my foundation, I realize obedience is the action that faith takes. Jesus Christ knew his purpose was to obey his Heavenly Father and he never questioned him until the Garden of Gethsemane. Even then he was just a human being vulnerable and honest about the fear he felt. Jesus Christ (Yeshua) found power and peace in obedience and was okay with being set apart. He had the power to heal, cast out demons and prophesy among many other talents but he never walked in pride but humility. He was a teacher and simply led by example for those who chose to follow him. He never forced anything or caused violence but fulfilled all the fruits of the spirit.
When I look at my life, I have to face the facts of my life being a reflection of my own rebellion, stubbornness and shame. When you experience hurt, trauma or abuse you justify bad behavior most of the time.

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
