30 Day Proverbs Challenge: Day 5

Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. Today, I have to face why my heart is sick. THe Lord has been showing me this phrase over and over in the Bible. It is found in Proverbs 13:12 " Hope deferred maketh the heart sick; but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life" and it makes sense of why I feel like nothing goes my way. Why do I have to be called to a higher standard or do it the hard way, its because I am a child of God. My spirit was always with him but my soul (mind, will and emotions) was not with him. I chose to do things my way instead of God's way and that is why I have a sick heart. But I know my Heavenly Father is also the Great Physician and has the ability to heal my sick heart.

I have been praying for my sick heart to be healed and for him to reveal the sick parts in my heart. He will do it all you have to do is ask and seek him daily, he wants a relationship with you daily. So today, I opened my Bible app and it led me to Hebrews 11:1 which states" Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see." In other words, you must have faith in God to achieve what your heart desires because only Jesus Christ (Yeshua) can reveal and bring to you healing and the "tree of life." I have rededicated my life on 11/13/2024 and I was baptized on 03/23/ 2025 which conquers the first step in healing my heart and advise you do the same, if you are reading this.

You cannot do this life apart from your Creator, your Heavenly Father, Your Great and Holy Counsel is here to help you succeed and bring you restoration and redemption. The next thing I learned today about wisdom and understanding is discipline. I also learned that faith is an action, it is the act of obedience. So lets keep it simple my life is a reflection of lack of discipline and disobedience. The second step to healing my heart is practicing discipline and faith (obedience) everyday. We must be like David unashamed and confident in God because we walk in obedience to God. In Proverbs 13:18 Solomon says " If you ignore criticism, you will end in poverty and disgrace; if you accept correction, you will be honored." This is perfectly stated and needs no overthinking, we must all walk with the Lord and end our bad habits.

As a parent, I now understand the tough love and experience that God allowed me to go through. I wouldn't be here writing this blog if I didn't appreciate all that God has delivered me from and rescued me from. My goal in life is to build generational wealth, to be the repairer of the breach in the generational bloodline and to bring love and light to dark places. God definitely heard me but reminded me that those are not easy and definitely requires character development and discipline. In Proverbs 13:24 "Those who spare the rod of discipline hate their children. Those who love their children care enough to discipline them." I knew tough love was the only way to build me! God allowed me to see the opposite so that I could appreciate the discipline in life and the requirements needed to be a woman of God and to share my testimony with others who may struggling.
