Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. The way that I have had to learn has been through tough love. Its been through my own disobedience, self sabotage, and shame. Often times we walk in fear, obligation and guilt because that is the way were taught. I came from a religious background with no relationship with God. My parents were believers but never spoke or led with God in their daily lives. I truly didn't understand our responsibility to be disciples and ambassadors of Christ.
Today, I affirm that I walk in my purpose as an ambassador of Christ because God has confirmed in me that is my purpose in him. In 2 Corinthians 5:20, God said directly through his word "So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” I specifically had asked God what is my purpose as a daughter of God and this is a direct act of obedience. Then he disclosed to me that I was a backsliding heifer in the book of Hosea and that I am in a season. of marrying the Lord. I cannot be a wife or accomplish marriage without him leading my life and me having faith in him to provide.
So today, when I read Proverbs 14: 14 "Backsliders get what they deserve; good people receive their reward." It was a direct reminder that I need to have faith and faith is an act of obedience. My life is a result of my disobedience to the Lord. I had bad leadership and the world will tell you all types of bad advice. Trust me! I have tried every business, every career and even every relationship. Nothing fulfilled me until I chose the Lord, Jesus Christ and to return to my Heavenly Father. I was naive and selfish because I was still competing and in comparison with every one else.
The next verses say Proverbs 14:15-16 "Only simpletons believe everything they’re told! The prudent carefully consider their steps 16 The wise are cautious and avoid danger; fools plunge ahead with reckless confidence. This described my experience and foolishness perfectly. I was a complete hippie, my name on instagram was bree_imsomarley and I was known honey. People never knew my name but they knew my ig handle and I truly thought I was living the best life. I was going with the flow with peace, love and happiness. I was just living as a herbalist fanatic, making soul ties and definitely a recovering over lover. I had no boundaries or wisdom and I still struggle with bad habits today.
However, today I know that the Lord, Jesus Christ has forgiven me and my sins. However, I must serve and walk in faithfulness everyday. I learned something interesting today, Jesus Christ only spoke about sin in the bible twice. I am here to remind you that Jesus served first out of love then he healed and walked in obedience. God reminded me in Proverbs 14:26 "Those who fear the Lord are secure; he will be a refuge for their children." He rescued us all and he hears us so let go and let God. I have given my bad habits and he has delivered me from a lot already and I have faith that he is still working in me and I am still seeking him daily. Once you give your life to Christ and get baptized, it is finished!
