30 Days Proverb Challenge: Day 20
Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. We have to understand the importance of being leaders in all communities and all mountains of influence. We are called to be a new creature in Christ and lead by example and I had to realize that I had no idea how to lead. I was trying to lead from self-reliance and my own pride and today I now understand why I would always say "I am in this world but not of this world." The way that we fight the world is by John 17:17 which states "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth," so learn to trust in the Lord and Gods Word in life.

Now that I am realizing that many of my troubles have been caused from my own foolishness and lack of wisdom. I fell into peer pressure and what the world was doing instead of being bold and set apart in life. Proverbs 28 begins "The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions." We have to be unafraid of what people think of us and be bold like lions who rule the safari. We are created to have dominion on this earth not be slaves and in bondage. Freedom starts in the mind and how we think becomes how we act. So lets keep Proverbs 28: 6-7 in mind "Better to be poor and honest than to be dishonest and rich. 7Young people who obey the law are wise; those with wild friends bring shame to their parents." The Lord confirmed my wild party lifestyle in high school and college and after college(lol) is why I have to do some inner healing and deliverence today. There is no shame in my game but it is important to share what I have learned and where in Gods Word there is proper instruction to success and wealth.
When we understand that God despises the wicked and encourages us to flee from wickedness we must ask why do we find it difficult to obey? In Proverbs 28:14 "Blessed are those who fear to do wrong, but the stubborn are headed for serious trouble." I am rebellious and stubborn and always chose curiosity over correction and wisdom, most of the time. However, I do not think I would be here with zeal and passion if it weren't for Gods love and protection in my life. He has saved my life several times and still proves that his love endures forever as well as his grace and mercy. In the end, I appreciate God's criticism and tough love because I know it comes from a place of unconditional love and understanding what was best for me.
Another huge revelation is that in your youth you are meant to learn and make mistakes but as you gain wisdom and understanding you are called to application. How can you apply wisdom moving forward? I believe Proverbs 28:25-27 says it clearly "Greed causes fighting; trusting the Lord leads to prosperity. 26Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe. 27Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed." I truly believe that this is how we should live as simply as possible. Leaning to trust in Gods will for my life versus my own has been the best way to put my life into perspective. What you do not know is your truth but once you know better you must aplly truth and do better. The truth is we are called to be set apart, ambassadors for Christ bringing souls to God and praying for others as well as ourselves using God's Word.
