Called to Consecration

Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. Today, I am being reaffirmed in the spirit that I AM HER. I was born to lead because of my identity in Christ. I was called to live in the spirit but I am struggling with my flesh. Today, I encourage you to read Galatians where God confirms that blessing comes from God on the basis of faith, not law. You have a choice because God gives us free will but you can choose bondage or freedom. Freedom in Christ means freedom to produce the fruits of righteousness through a Spirit- led lifestyle. Are you pleasing men or God? Galatians 1:10 proposes the following question "Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ."

In my current walk with the Lord Jesus Christ he is teaching me how to rest in him and become the leader that I have always run away from becoming. You grow when you are uncomfortable and I am so used to doing things my way and the Lord has been challenging me to do it his way. The Lord will never be a dictator but he will be there waiting, like a loving husband always there to provide, support and love you unconditionally. As he leads me to re read Galatians I encourage you to read Galatians also, so that you know your purpose as an son/ daughter of God. My experiences and environment has always been production and achievement based and the Lord is just wanting me to walk into the identity of Christ, learn the promises and inheritance already given through a relationship with the Lord. This morning I read Matthew 25:34 with my son "Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world." As I reenter the doors of my original family and return to my spiritual bloodline through Jesus Christ, the seed of Abraham, I am learning to embrace the promises of "being."

My slogan in life has always been "be your own body" an amazing slogan if I wanted to perpetuate the lies that you can be self made. The truth is found in Galatians 3:26-29 "So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise." When you realize that your current reality is a result of community, content, competencies and coaching. You must ask your self a few questions:

1. Have I been in the right community of people that encourage my relationship with Jesus Christ?

2. Do I watch/ listen to the right content that affirms my identity in Christ?

3. What competencies (character traits/ skillsets) have I been cultivating aligned with Gods promises?

4. Who has been my coach in life? Lets start with God being your coach.

The devil is really good at isolating the chosen and the leaders so he can keep you from the right people in your life and from building a community rooted in the kingdom. You have to change who you decide to listen to... will you be of the law or faith? I have chosen to embrace my inheritance as a child of God. What does that mean? Well in Galatians 4:7-9 "So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.8 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods. 9 But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?"

This is the question that I am pondering now that I am choosing to walk in my identity in Christ. The indoctrination of the worlds way is a reality and many choose to follow the worlds way. First, I have to forgive myself and repent for the mistakes I made as I step into my new characteristics and skillsets that are rooted in God's purpose for my life. Second, I have to humble myself as I seek deliverance and cut off all roots connected in flesh and in the body. Thirdly, I have to mature and embrace the transformation and dependence on the Lord that is required to overcome years of indoctrination to the worlds way. I am called to walk in spirit and in truth! The truth is found in Galatians 5:16-18 "16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law." What this means is that you have to make a decision to walk in sanctification and claim the free gift of salvation and the fruits of righteousness.
