June: My Prayer to Share

This month of prayer has been about stepping into my calling and Gods will for my life. June has been about grieving my way and walking into God's way. This month has been about owning my failure and shortcomings while learning to surrender and humble myself in his gifts and authority through me. We all must make a choice to continue in suffering or to rest in his peace and inheritance. Saying goodbye to your old self and the person you once knew is hard and a process where you must trust in the Lord. You must face your problems with victory and Jesus in mind. JUNE PRAYER THEME: SACRIFICE & SURRENDER FOR CONSECRATION


READ DEUTERONOMY 6

These are the commands, decrees and laws the Lord your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, 2 so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life. 3 Hear, Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you. 4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. 10 When the Lord your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you—a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build, 11 houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant—then when you eat and are satisfied, 12 be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 13 Fear the Lord your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name. 14 Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; 15 for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land. 16 Do not put the Lord your God to the test as you did at Massah. 17 Be sure to keep the commands of the Lord your God and the stipulations and decrees he has given you. 18 Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors, 19 thrusting out all your enemies before you, as the Lord said. 20 In the future, when your son asks you, “What is the meaning of the stipulations, decrees and laws the Lord our God has commanded you?” 21 tell him: “We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, but the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand. 22 Before our eyes the Lord sent signs and wonders—great and terrible—on Egypt and Pharaoh and his whole household. 23 But he brought us out from there to bring us in and give us the land he promised on oath to our ancestors. 24 The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today. 25 And if we are careful to obey all this law before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, that will be our righteousness.”

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;your rod and your staff, they comfort me.You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.


READ PSALMS 119


Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart—they do no wrong but follow his ways.You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed. Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands.I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws.I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me.


Romans 12:1-2

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.


Phillipians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.


Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.


Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.


Phillipians 4:8-9

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Heavenly Father, you promised that if your people, who are called by your name, will humble themselves, pray, seek your face, and turn from your wicked ways. You will hear them, forgive our sin, and heal our land. I thank you for giving me such a great and precious promise by which I can escape the corruption in the world that affects our nation! I am your child, the righteousness of God Jesus Christ. I humble myself in this prayer, recognizing that I serve One greater than myself. I love you and you deserve all of me. My body and my spirit belong to you. Jesus bought me for you at a high cost indeed.

I am living to hear you say those wonderful words once you cross the finish line: Well done, good and faithful child. Enter into the joy of your Lord. My Savior, Jesus Christ, is my compassionate High Priest. So I come to you in Jesus name, confessing my sin of gluttony. Lust for food has captured me. But I do not want to be like a Sodomite, I do not want to be selfish, so I am focused on indulging my flesh.

I renounce the spirit of gluttony. I take my thoughts captive in my mind that deceive me into thinking that gluttony is harmless. It is not harmless. It hurts me and it hurts others. It is a wicked habit, a destructive habit. It destroys my health and keeps me trapped in a cycle of shame and guilt. You do not want me to be like that. Jesus came to set the captives free. I qualify! I repent Lord. I changed my mind about this habit. You hate this habit as much as you hate drunkenness and I hate what you hate.

Open up my eyes as to how much this habit has cost me past, present and in the future if I don’t change this now. Lord teach me your way so that I may walk in your truth daily. Your word is truth. Lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. Gluttony is my enemy. Show me the foods that are hijacking my brain. Give me courage to kick them out of my life and replace them with good foods.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your righteousness and unconditional love. I am grateful for the restoration of our family and the healing of my own heart and mind. I bind my mind to christ and the Holy Spirit abides in me. I come before you, trusting in your Infinite power and unending love. Lord you are the God who opens doors no one can shut and shuts doors no one can open. Today, I ask for your divine intervention in every area of my life. Father, open the doors that have been closed by enemies or circumstances beyond my control. Release every opportunity, breakthrough, and blessing that has been delayed or hindered. Align me with your purpose and let your favor shine upon me.

Lord, I also ask that you close the doors leading to harm, danger, or distractions placed by the enemy. Shield me from every trap, every false opportunity, and every scheme that is not from you. Protect my mind, my heart and my path and lead me to what only glorifies your name. Father, let no weapon formed against me prosper. Let every plan of the enemy fall powerless at your feet. Strengthen my faith, guard my soul and establish me firmly in your will. I trust in your power to make a way where there seems to be no way. Thank you for the doors you will open and the protection you will provide. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen!
