"TALITHA CUMI"
Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. This story hit me especially hard because I have always known there was a calling on my life. There was always an unspoken language, an unforgettable beat and rhythm that I seem to catch. This is why I named my first born Caedence, slightly different, becasue I want him to run to the beat of his own drum. Unlike me who fell into shame and the spirit of perfectionism and still felt incomplete and not enough all the time. So when i heard this story in Mark chapter 5 it resonated me because I saw myself in the little girl who was raised from the dead. Jesus Christ has saved my life and covered me many times during my spiritually dead season and when he spoke "Talitha Cumi" I understood what he meant finally in my life. It is time to rise to the calling of being a daughter of God, a co heir to the Kingdom and claim the inheritance my Heavenly Father has waiting for me!

Let me encourage you to read the story of when Jesus raises Jairus' daughter from the dead. It was a very controversial time for Jesus Christ as the church (Saduccess and Pharisees) were trying to catch him breaking the law. However, Jesus knew Jairus' heart and risked it all for his followers and friends. What caught my eye in this story is that Jesus kicked everybody out of the room to demand privacy as if this was an extremely special moment and he wanted to protect her. Sometimes I feel that God does that to people and opportunities in our lives. Many times people cannot go where you are going and God will cover and protect you in the season where he is working on you and raising you from the dead. You cannot be around other spiritually dead people when you are in a certain season with the Lord. It is very important to keep your relationship exclusive and pure. I feel this year has been my "Talitha Cumi" season as I return to the Lord Jesus Christ being front and center in my life.
The exact verse is found in Mark 5:41 where it says "He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”)." What I find fascinating is how busy Jesus was at the time. He had just healed a demon possessed man, with legions, he just healed the woman who bled for many years due to her faith. As he came to the house of the synagogue leader, Jairus, which was already high risk since the dead girls father worked for the people who were trying to trap him. Jairus did not care and accepted who Jesus Christ was even though he had to maintain his position and career. He stepped out on faith to invite Jesus Christ into his home to heal his little girl. The verses prior to 41 are powerful as Jesus Christ never lost faith in the little girl eventhough everyone else did. Her own family had given up and proclaimed her dead but her father had faith and knew what Jesus could do. This is so accurate in our lives because we only need one person to lead us to Jesus Christ and believe in us. The moist important person is you, ourselves! Learning to believe in ourselves is so hard when we start to believe the Father of Lies, the Devil. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy but God comes to save us all. The most important part is that we WAKE UP!
The Aramaic interpretation of "Talitha Cumi" or "Talitha Koum" is little girl rise or child arise. I have to admit that I lived a lot of my life spiritually dead. I chose not to read Gods Word and pray to have a relationship with the Lord but I was living life with the spirit of religion. Beware! this may be who you are today reading this blog because its so easy to fall into the routine of being a Christian or the culture of Christianity but not living in the Holy Spirit. So today I am here to encourage you to wake up to Gods agenda not the Worlds agenda. That is a sneaky strategy the devil tries to abuse with the "WOKE " movement in culture today. Are you awake? or are you still asleep to truth? The truth is Jesus Christ only allowed a select trusted few to witness the resurrection. Let me warn and advise you that not every one can go where you have been called to rise to. Remember, Jesus spoke a language only she could understand. Nobody knew what Jesus said to her but her and she responded instantly. This is how I would describe the zeal and calling on my life when it comes to building a relationship with Jesus. He woke me from a spell that was slowly killing me! He is healing me from all the trauma, pain and suffering I endured and thats what he can do for you. You are a new creature in Christ... you were once dead and now you are alive! The walking dead is among us but lets continue to be kingdom builders spreading the light and the truth, offering life to all who chose to believe!

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
