Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. My question to you in reading my personal experience today is are you walking with the Lord? Today, I was feeling overwhelmed, afraid and anxious because I know that I have been uncertain. I was doubtful and seeking confirmation like Gideon or some might say arguing with the Lord. When you have a relationship with the Lord, it is just that, a relationship you argue, you annoy and sometimes you come to an understanding.
The Lord and I have come to an understanding about my calling, purpose and life. When you align with God and remain in him then you can not fail. I have got to this point in writing a daily blog with the Lord to keep myself in check and to stay in alignment with the Lord. So the Lord reminded me earlier this morning that he will and can leave me by bringing me to I Samuel 28, where I realized the call out on my life personally immediately. This chapter confirmed that I need to repent for deceit, double-mindedness, and disobedience because thats what King Saul fell into as a leader. I have been praying for God to develop me into a wise leader and he is following through with some amazing lessons and whoop-ins.
Then, the verse of the day was as I mentioned in Rest in Ritual blog, Matthew 21:43, a call to action to get my ***ish together. The verse says " Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce it's fruit." after reading I Samuel 28. At this point, I am like okay Lord, I hear you and I am sorry. I renounce doubt, fear and the spirit of poverty because that is not YOU. The Lord answered me through God's word because that is the only truth you need in life. I opened the Bible to Haggai and read the introduction and i smiled with hope and confirmation that the Lord does hear me. God and others have been confirming in my life that I just need to finish what I start. Haggai is about post Babylonian exile when the Jews are returning to rebuild the temple. The Jews have been building the temple for sixteen years and still have not finished because their personal affairs have interfered with God's business. I have been building a business for almost ten years without God running in circles and still living in property. Haggai 1:4-7 says " “Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?”5 Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. 6 You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”7 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways."
This hit me like a coach yelling "get on the line" right before we have to run a suicide over a missed free throw. However you have to take accountability for the missed free throw. Nobody is guarding you or defending you, all you have to do is take a deep breath, do your routine, and shoot the ball with good form. Instead, we change up the routine, we listen to the screams in the crowd, we let our minds defeat us. God gives me direction and explanation in verses 8-10. It states" 8 Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,” says the Lord. 9 “You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?” declares the Lord Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own house. 10 Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops." This is a powerful reminder that we cannot succeed eternally or bring heaven on earth when we are disconnected from the true source, the creator of fertile ground.
Following God is not a miracle or magic trick it requires us to go up to the mountain and chop the wood to build the house. It requires labor to reap the harvest. Haggai preaches sermonette's designed to stir up the nations to finish the temple. This confirmation and revelation hit me in so many areas with the Lord and I am so thankful that I get to be a part of the remnant gathered up by the Lord. So in the introduction the Lord calls the builders to renew their courage in the Lord, renew holiness of life and renewed faith in God who controls the future. HELLO! God is good guys and he is always there for you waiting to have a relationship with his children. I am so blessed to be reunited with my Heavenly Father as his daughter and i am so blessed to have a husband named Jehovah Jireh!
Lets go over the last few verses in Haggai chapter 1 that ended my butt whoopin with grace. In Haggai 1:12-13 it says "12 Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and the whole remnant of the people obeyed the voice of the Lord their God and the message of the prophet Haggai, because the Lord their God had sent him. And the people feared the Lord. 13 Then Haggai, the Lord’s messenger, gave this message of the Lord to the people: “I am with you,” declares the Lord." We still have to do the work. This is after God gave me specific instructions on how I was going to work and achieve God's house with my businesses. All I have to do is be obedient and let God's will be done in my life. The work is faith, getting rid of all fear and poverty mindset, and trusting in the Lord with all my heart. Today, choose to give up uncertainty and decide will you walk with the Lord?
